I thought of buying some used exchangers and just getting a U welded, but will I have problems bleeding the system? The sell U coolers but prices are too expensive, BTW I am going to 144, so I am looking for additional cooling anyways...
Thanks

I went 136" on my X2 and installed an aux. rear cooler. Had bought an extra one for my buddy but he broke down last week before installing it. $115.00 shipped to you, cost of the cooler itself. I installed it to the rear, works great.

No one has a solution???

you could do what cat does and put your hoses inside the tunnel?? i question this practice since it only takes a good chunk of ice to ruin your weekend... the other option is to get a boss seat and let the seat cover it up... actually serves a nice purpose as well, the trunk on the boss is right over it and you can store water bottles in there and they will not get frozen of spare gloves and they will stay warm... i say use it to you advantage and if you need extra cooling do what Marvs660 suggests... fwiw - i'm going longer this year as well, i've never had a cooling issue at 136 with a 1.75 track so i'm not going to bother upping the cooling capacity of the sled... i'll just install a set of 40 dollar scratchers and call it a day...

You could install a full U cooler setup.

I'm also looking for some more cooling on my Pro-X 800 144". When I was in West Yellowstone over Expo weekend, my sled was running warmer that I'd like and the temp light even came on a few times. I will be getting some scratchers and I'm sure that will help, but I think I should get some extra cooling as well. Don't really want to cut a hole into my tunnel extension and put the AUX cooler there, but don't want to put it in the stock 121" location either as I don't think it will collect enough snow there to help any when I'm riding on hard packed trails. I would like a rear cooler that I could rivet to my tunnel extension, without it looking any different on top except for a couple rivets here or there.

How about getting an old exchanger and cutting it at a 45 degree angle and having it welded into a U. That way I can get it any length I want...... I would want it pressure tested also.

I was thinking about a RMK rear cooler, but not sure if it would work or not and I don't know how I would route the coolant hoses. trau14.gif
