does anyone know the weight...?

Go to totalyyamaha.com. There is a thread discussing this. From memory it is around 560 dry and just over 600 wet. A dealer weighed a pre-production model. Seems to be a nice sled except why only a 7 gal tank?

The 7 gallon tank is so Yamaha can compare the "wet weight" of the Nytro to the other brand's wet weight and make them appear closer. It saves them 6.5 pounds per gallon of gas. It's all just a bunch of marketing BS and a stupid move on Yamaha's part IMO.....and before someone bashes me, I love the Nytro but I'm pretty pissed that Yamaha is using such a small tank. If the sled gets 15 MPG you'll only be able to go 100 miles....and I don't see it getting that good of MPG if you ride it hard or ride in the mountains/powder. Maybe I'm wrong, time will tell. As long as it goes as far as the other sleds on gas that's all I care.

I was actually considering this sled until I realized it only had a 7 gallon tank. We ride out west twice a year and carry extra fuel with us as it is. Everyone knows the four strokes are heavy. You either accept that or not. Put a 10 - 11 gallon tank on the thing. It appears to be a great sled other wise. Looking forward to talking to the factory reps about it at Hay Days. Just about the only chance us midwest guys get to see the new mountain stuff.

The word is Yamaha already has plans to increase the tank size by 2 gallons for 2009.
