The kind of day that makes a parent beam from ear to ear.
My son got out for his first time solo piloting his new ride. It was limited to lake cruizin (for the most part very smooth n fast) and some pretty thin trails at the tip of the island but all in all a nice shake down run.
He's got a '97 Indy Trail 488, mods next year will be a 1" track with 96 studs, flatten out the top of the seat and recover it, set of ZR or F Cat bars, a set of decent shocks all round. Before heading out we installed a set of AC plastic skis n carbides in place of the steel stockers sporting a set of worn through ski skins.
Other cool part was the fact he was able to make his first ride with both myself and my Pops. Yup 3 generations of sledheads cruin together...............doesn't get much better than that.

Great pics!! Those Indy Trails are great sleds and that motor is strog for a 488!!
Not painting it CAT green?? Give Dean a call... get that suspension working better.

Great to see Ross got in his maiden run this winter. Now he'll be charged all summer in anticipation of next winter. Nothing like a home grown riding buddy for next season. He'll be kicking your ass in no time. LOL
Also good to see Pop's finally got out as well.

I've been sledding since I was 8-years-old, and it was my Dad who got me into it ..... convinced my Mom to get me a Sno-Scoot for Christmas that year, and I've been riding solo ever since! grin.png He also convinced my Mom he should get a sled too, since I couldn't/shouldn't ride by myself, so he picked up a 1990 Prowler (original AWS) and there began our love for Arctic Cats thumbsup.png. After the Sno-Scoot, I "graduated" to a '79 Jag 275 free-air, then to my '92 EXT 550, onto my '99 ZR 700, and just recently, an '04 F7 grinning-smiley-023.gif.

My Dad and I STILL ride together all the time ... I don't think we missed a weekend this (short) winter!

I hope to one day be in the same position you're in ... riding with with my father and a son (<--- currently not planned or scheduled!! yelrotflmao.gif ).
