I've got an 05 600 SDI Renegade i'm thinking about stretching to 144". I'd like a play sled for the powder (New Hampshire) and I already have this one, it's my third sled and I don't ride it very much. I'd like to put a 144 x 2 on it. Can I do this with just rail extension or will I need a whole new skid? Can you put a 2" track on a renegade?
I tried trading it on a Summit and they offered me $2500.00. The sleds in great condition so I'll keep it for that money. That's when I thought about turning it into a Summit myself. Save some money and have some fun doing the project too. Is this good idea or am I just going to screw the sled up?
Thanks for the input, 05Renegade

sounds like a good idea to me
Im ithink you can put the 16" wide track on it too (if it dont already have one idk)
you might wanna see about clutching and gearing too and make it the same as the summit

long tracking a sled is pretty easy

Alot of guys are doing 2" on thier gades without doing too much besides the obvious rail extensions and Gearing.

I decided not to if your not in the mountains all the time where you should be buying a summit then I would just go 1.75" x16 Thats what I put on and Im still sitting at 136 and it worked really well for a 136

1.75" is a bit better then 2" cause the shorter lugs will not build up as much snow at the front cooler which Ive heard of happening

If you still want to go 2" I would drop the chain case then you could even go 2.25" If you want
