I was over at local dealer and just for the hell of it we weighed both motors.
Our results:
FST 750 4 stroke without turbo, exhaust manifold and alt: 155 lbs.
turbo and exhaust manifold .......................................... 18lbs 5oz
altenator...................................................................... 12lbs 9oz
Grand total of................................................................185lbs 14oz

800 liberty motor out of a 04 Vertical Escape weighed.......127lbs 14oz

Difference of................................................................. 58lbs

Moving some of that weight off the skis helps with steering. My turbo set up is about 5 lbs lighter.
I also moved my 11lb 4oz battery to the back of my seat. My sled dry is around 512 give or take a couple of lbs for scale accuracy.

Oh and have I said how much I LOVE my sled. I don't care what it gets for MPG. I love the power.

I'm considering putting the Weber 750 into a Dragon chassis and I know another company who has bought some of these motors to do the same thing.

Those of you who don't like the 750 PLEASE move on passifier.gif and become part of the past. beatingdeadhorse.gif

I plan to be part of the Future. snack.gif

If I told you I'd have to #ill you! just kidding.

Send me a PM in a couple of months, the company that is doing it should be far enough along that they can "let the cat out of the bag" I don't want to steal their thunder. m2c.gif

I have a complete motor with less than 400 miles on it that I will sell. I'm parting out the entire sled.

I'm interested in the headlight bezel and the computer. PM me a price. Maybe we can do buisness, I know other people who also want parts.
