Give us some details of how the heat has effected the snow in your area..........I'm about ready to mow the lawn here in Manchester!!!!!!!
mk2g60
Melted a little but 4' of snow isn't going anywhere soon.
wigga
I heard she was at the top of the tower and some sledders where trying to peek up her skirt. She's not singing at full bore right now. When you hear a very long fog horn sounding note, that will be it, Fatty has hit the correct note.

We went this past weekend and decided to cancel our reservations for this coming weekend. Just called our insurance agent to remove our sleds and she said over half their customers cancelled on Monday. Better to pack it up after a good weekend than ride through washouts and icy corners. The riding was very good, and that's how I like to remember it all Summer long. Time to work on my Rupp projects!

Is the Thunderjet done with that color match?

suncook lake area...the fat lady sang saturday nite and left the building sunday during the race.........anything left in ossipee area??????
oldtimer
You can bet Ossipee is bare trails and still fairly deep wherever sleds have not been. IMO, this is the time to watch for tresspassing sleds..no unplowed road or long driveway or field is safe..
ckf
Trails are officially closed on the OVSC system. The Castle trails are closed as well.

Actually its a '73 I'm working on! I wish I still had that one in my avatar pic. At one time I had five Rupps at once in the seventies, and got a little "obsessive, compulsive" about them! Makes you wonder what kind of product they would be now if Mick Rupp hadn't met an untimely end! flamethrowingsmiley.gif

I sure am glad you made it impossible for me to refuse your hospitality last week and ride before it went. I almost never ride in an area that I am totally lost in, and that was a pretty good description of that ride. Your trails reflect the effort I know goes into them.

Absolutely a great time, thanks again!

I'm told Mickey Rupp is still alive living in Florida. The guy I buy parts from Brandt at oldrupps.com was telling me he's still around.

I raced and worked for a Rupp dealer in Mass. in the seventies and clearly remember news of him being "murdered" mysteriously in 78 or 79. I would think if he were alive he wuld have his fingers in developing something with his name on it. I remember hearing in the seventies that he onced raced Indy cars among other things!

We were happy to show you our little jewel of a trail system we have down here South of the notches. It is amazing to think that less then a week ago we were out on Winni and it was as cold as it was and today was almost Summer like.

BTW... I think a few of us are heading your way the first of next week. If you are up for a ride let me know.

yes he did make mini bikes! my first bike was a rupp minibike in 1979.
Bilbo
Pathfinder, to look at the Rupp in you Avatar its a reminder of the Beating early sleds gave the rider. There is Nothing for suspension under the rear. My friend has a GP Yamaha from that era and its the same way.
Must have been great for the Chiropractor trade back then.

Have a little faith guy's, this is New England. You know what they say," if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes" . Channel 9 say's 12" plus of snow for late Friday into Sat. morn. That old fat chick is in the background warming up, but they won't let her on stage yet. The maps show most of the snow will be north of the lakes, with colder weather to follow. Looks like we'll have a liitle more time for this season. After the slow start this season began with, I'm sure all the people that make a living off the snowmobilers will be glad to hear the weather report.
