Just got back from a 1200 mile Gaspe,Qc 5 day trip. My FST ran incredible and after about 700 miles the M-10 suspension started getting smoother and smoother,as did the motor. Absolutetly no issues whatsoever. As far as power, I raced and beat an 03 800XC and a 03 ZR900, also raced a 02 800XCR triple triple and a 07 apex gt and was neck and neck and apparently had no traction but they did!!!
So that needs to happen again(will post results when it does).I don't know if it's the M10 but I cant get traction at all, only on a hard packed road and then it is so much faster. This sled has so much torque it's unreal,I punch it at 50 MPH and it spins the track untill 70MPH!!!! You guy's that are having so many repeat problems need to change your dealer, alot of dealers don't know anything about 4 strokes and THEY ARE LEARNING.

Man is that some refreshing news to hear instead of all the bashing the FST gets.
It is truely and enjoyable sled if you don't have any of the issues that pop up.

Looking at picking one up myself, or an apex.
Is their any problems with the 07 or should I be looking at the o8?

This close to the 08 release...i'd wait. You have nothing to lose by waiting to see what's out for 2008

Great to here that, also!!!!!!!! zeusand, what has the dealer you have, had to do as far as work on your sled so far??? If none----then I would be a bit hestitant about what the dealers can or can't do for these sleds. I would and WILL post the good and glorious about this sled when mine is up and running. It is a great idea on paper, but has been a nightmare on the trail.

Very refreshing to hear!! I am glad you had a good experience. I thought I was the only one without major problems there for awhile!

Great post...its good to hear from a happy owner. Sort of makes it harder to decide whos 4 stroke will be a next sled in the garage. What i was really hopeing polaris would have a lighter 120 hp something 4 stroke sled to offer by now instead of just the fst.

I put 1700 miles on my 2007 FST IQ this year and the only problem was the shim for the gear case. I got better gas milage than all the other sleds we ride with including a new Apex. My sled was the fastest of the group unless in snow, then the Apex was. Never have to worry about running out of oil. The only draw back is the extra weight of the 4 stroke, but I go through the trails faster and easier than the Apex. If you want a 4 stroke I can't think of a better sled.

I thought mine was heavy when I first rode it and tippy but after I got used to it, it handles great. I also have simmons flexi skis on it that imo are the best skis out there. After riding various xc's for years I thought the FST handled terrible but after about 7-800 miles when the M-10 broke in, It was cornering great!!!! As far as issues, NONE. The only thing I can think of is that brake pad rattle, not a big deal but I'm picky. someone posted a simple fix for that and I will do that this summer. I have 153 woodys on it and the only time I really can get traction is on a hard packed road and then THIS FUCKING SLED HAULS ASS.

Fixjet
2150 miles this year with only a broken belt. 4700 total miles and running strong.

Seusand, check out the post I put on the xc/xcr forum,to much track spin on my m-10.
It has agreat idea, and I tried it yesterday and my xc7 pulls the ski's for about 50-100 feet

I have a little over 900 miles on mine now. No major issues. Had a little gas/oil in the airbox at first, but it seams to have gone away. A tech told me it should stop once the pistons set in. His experience is after 1,000 miles, the performance gets better and the problem goes away. Gotta say that the sled is awesome and BONUS if the performance gets better.
