Here is the home made left throttle and powder strap on my $10 freestyle bmx bar setup on my old RMK. I really like it. The lever was $25 at the bike shop and the strap was some extra air hose I had in the garage. I made the flipper actuator out of .90 aluminum I had and an old choke bracket for a jet ski. Low budget powder sled, whoo hoo!

It works great!

Looks good only thing I would suggest is drilling a small hole through the left hand throttle so that you can put a pin in it to lock it when your loading unloading ect. They have a tendency to get people in trouble in tight areas(I know from personal experience). I like the bracket you have holding the cable on the right side to many companies are relying on zipties holding the cable in place.

haha ya i put one on my RMK and right afte ri hooked it up i tried it around my house and i crosssed my drive way and went to hit my brakes but i grabbed a hand full of the lefty and smashed right into my truck, haha glad no one was watching i would have felt like such an idiot, and luckly didnt do any damage to my track broke the hood alil on the RMK but o well the hood is already F*cked, but after i got used to it it was nice for tight laft turns in the trees
i dont think ill spend the money to put one on my summit tho i didnt use it that much (i did at first)

Someone I know and if they want to fill in there name thats fine ran into a garage right after installing it. I used it alot on my 151 Fcat but when I put it on my M I didn't seem to use it anymore I think the wider bars on the Fcat is probably why I used it so much on there. Since I have removed it cause whenever i rolled the sled over or hit a tree branch it seemed like it was always messed up but like I said above they were relying on zipties to keep the cable in place.

I dont know who would mistake it for the break biggrin.gif werd.gif

your set up may be made perfectly but it is very dangerous to make your own. Lots of throttles modifications end up wrecking the sled when the throttle sticks wide open.

Lots of ways to save money but doing your own throttle mods is probably not the best way.

Thats no different that most of the production ones out on the market. My gravity worx got stuck wide open on more then one occasion and I know of several others with the same problems. He took steps to prevent the WOT problem with that bracket more then many of the manufactured ones which are all basically homemade kits anyway. The only one I truly like the looks of is the Snowbunjie with purpose built parts and a safety system that completely unhooks it when not in use.
