here is some links and info of what you have to do/what it looks like.. i have mounted a rev tank/boss Highrise seat to my xr800-04,
Squidward has also mounted a rev tank/seat to his xr 440 -04, this is easier because of the ergos of the 04 440 racer... i had to cut my tank in the neck so get the tank were i wanted it with the 03 440 couwling.. a friend then welded the tank and we moved the fuel gauge and filler neck on it rearwards...
be prepared to do alot of fab work to make it work... the outcome is directly related to how you do it/how much work you put in...
my thread about the tank/seatmy pixbox, with pics of installation Squidwards thread about his install

I realize it is a good solution on the 440 racers, but just going by his profile, his sled is the consumer chassis Pro-X. No real benefit there IMO. Just get a BOSS highrise and be done with it. my .02

i think i will agree with ya Shortstop, the Boss highrise on the stock tank is much easier and maybe a few$ more but it has to be the best choice , i on the other hand got my rev tank for low$ and the seat was a bought from a friend due to his iq440 conversion has somewhat come to an hault.. i wanted my sled to be an all custom for me, it wouldnīt be possible if i hadnīt friends who worked in perticular trades and my stubborn mind...

the reason i want to do that to the swap is that i can get the seat and tank for free.
and heard that the rev tank is bigger.

the rev tank is in reality smaller, the only reason for doing such a conversion is for improved ergos or a customized look..

How much does your tank hold tage?? When I ran outa gas I could only put in 9.5 gallons....I don't know if the pickup hose needs to be longer of if the tank is really under 10 gallons.

i think my tank is around 9.5 gallons but i have never had it empty and fueled her up from scratch, the rev tank in stock form is 10 if i recall right, and the stock pro x large tank is 10.5gallon

For some odd reason I think my tank is 12... I've put in 11.2 before.
Edit - Polaris spec is 11.8

I would look for a BOSS dealer in your area either here or on SnoWest. I got my seat from Tri-J on SnoWest for $475. He's located in Minnesota. Order one soon, no later than September, otherwise there's no guarantee you'll have it before next winter.

like shortstop said, i would search the Snowest forum if i was looking for a Boss seat, ordering a new boss from bossindustries would probably take you several months to get one, they are worth the wait and high$ , they are truly amazing seats...

I think yo will love the boss seat, i and many others can swear by them... you can throw a bunch of cash into engine parts but it wonīt make as much diffrence in riding quality as a Boss seat, the only thing i can say that makes a simular diffrence is a good shock job, revalving for your weight and riding style, do both and you will love the Pro x even more...

i have the ride fx on now but i was wondering if i should go with the w/e shock instead.
what sping would you recommed to use. sorry to bug so much i'm just now with this sled
and trying to find out what is the best way to run it.

the rydes are more durable then then the WE:s , i would stick with them, a good shop that has a god reputation can do wonders with what you have.. the only shocks that is worth good money is Ohlins, they are 2-5times more durable then the rest, the WE shocks suck big time if not all the right things are taken care of, search around and you will see there is a ton of knowledge here regarding shocks..
