Looks like the low cost, stripped down Polaris is going to be called the Shift. Supertrax says they are loooking at the Poalris Shift in thheir next issue due out soon.

If it's true than it's a bad marketing on the name. If the sled has any probs the f will be dropped for the nickname. It's like when you name your kids the moms come up with the name and we tell our wives the nick names and they usually don't like them and change names

I thought the same thing, but did not want to rain on their parade! I personnally like some of the vintage names like Cobra, Colt, TX or Indy. Maybe it has a manual transmission, that's why they went with shift. LOL

Maybe they just misspelled the name and they tried a truthful marketing campaign instead.

Introducing the new "Polaris Shit" we took a bad sled and made it worse! Absolutely no-hype of how great it will be, And if you are disappointed then they'll ask why you bought the new "Shit".

I heard they were bring the name STORM back too.. saposed to be really fast.. For the guys that run the lakes... The SHIFT sounds like it might be the cross over between the fusion and the storm.. lol but who knows... lol

It's a 600CFI that is much like the RAW /RMK units. Very light for the class and a retail price of $6999. They could have come up with a much better name for it.Gettin 2 old, laughed my ass off at your statement !!!!

maybe they intentionally put a silly name in there.... They would have signed no-disclosure contracts... Putting the name of an unreleased sled on their site would make them liable for $$$$$$$$$$ lots of it $$$$$$$$$$.

If they have put that out then they are indeed going against the embargo on information. That is a no, no. Polaris won't be happy.

Less for less- But way more! I thinh thay are refering to a shift in what they offer and how much its going to cost us, (Less weight for less money

There is no STORM. The Shift is the 600 cc 120 hp unit, carbed, not CFI. Weight is listed at 466 lbs. The MSRP is $6999. No outside rear idler wheels. Come as a black sled with several decal options. This is a raw looking sled like the Dragons. Poo will also be offering the IQ racer with 600 cc carbed motor and W/E shocks all around. It's about time. I always thought it was ridiculous how their racing was completely different from their commercial sleds. The 800 will be in the RMK only. Bank on it. Nothing else new.

The shift just better have Gas shocks, good track, and good skis.

If they put oil shocks on it I will be pissed. I can at least always change track/skis easily without dropping too much money.

Now polaris is going to give us the "shaft" and we are going to pay for it. Wait, how is that considered a new model?

Sounds like Polaris hired a bunch of college Grads with fancy marketing degrees to help bail them out of the last two years of the engineering disaster. Cheep help with a peice of paper over rules years of experience, Tiller must be SHIFT FACED.

No new chassis. I can't remember the details on the shocks. My guess is that they will offer this MSRP and then not incentivise it or discount it much in any way. Under normal spring circumstances you can get the year-old 600s for $6500 any way.
