Thanks its still concrete down this end of the penninsula. Alex

hey before you do that, check with Team CC I think he had a few MXZ 550s for $4900?? Don't quote me, but give him a call. I know he took a load of sleds off of some dealers back east. I know he had some smokin deals on 121s and a few 136s, cause I looked into for the wife. But she went for a ride on a 600 summit today and was totally hooked, so thats what i got. She aint happy NOBODY is happy!!

I have ben thinking about a 550 but my daughter is only 11 and new to riding I am a little leary about the potential panic factor anf hammering the throttle with maybe disasterous consequences. Not to say that that is the way to go........I can get it from seattle to homer for so chaep as to be almost free so still working out the details. I'll call Team Cc again however and see what they can do....calling for snow down here wed and thursday!!!!!!!!!!! a friend went out sat and sun and said it was fine over by hill 26 carvable snow just had to hunt a bit.

I have a 10 year old on an F-5....has been alot of practice in the yard. On the trail I am the one to set speed and where/how we ride. This gives her alot of growing room. We now make 100 miles rides and I do let her run, on her own, out in the open swamps. She learns to ride the powder and lets her get a little air where the snow is deeper and mistakes don't hurt as bad.

Alex it is a good way to teach responsibility. I also make her do her own fuel and oil every time she rides. Basically a preflight and post flight. Yes I do go over things with her but she has to in initiate the checkout. Then she also has a monthly, track, springs chaincase, etc., etc. Then the responsibility out on the trail and the respect for other riders, mushers and skiers.
It real has made a differance in attitude when she got left behind because her sled was not ready to go. I was doing checkout and load out and she decided to sit and watch TV....made a call and arranged a sitter. Next morning she 1st and ready to go.......you know the rest of the story. Now her sled is one of the 1st done and loaded.

It's also possible on those to adjust the throttle cable so she doesn't get full use. Great deal on an X package sled
