Cross posted this from Amsnow and I hope D&S Racing doesn't mind. Seems like there is a big discrepancy between the two reports. I'm not trying to cause any hard feelings, just trying to provide information.

Update:
Here are the facts...
The ice CURRENTLY has about 6 inches of standing water on it.
On top of the water is snow/slush.
Dave has tried to repair the track you used last week, as he plows the track it fills with water and slush behind him.
Dave has tried to plow a track 100ft away from last weeks track, as he plows the ice, snow, and water form 10ft snow cones and the track back fills with water and slush.
Dave has tried every day this week to salvage something out there.
That much standing water and snow is NOT going to drain off overnite.
The track condition is worse than last year by tenfold.
As of right at this moment, the entire bay is not safe enough for prostock sleds to race.
Unless by some miracle by Mother Nature or God, one night is not going to be enough time for the water to drain off that bay.
Yes, it is supposed to get a few degrees colder, but its not going to be enough to run on Saturday. To be meaningful or have an effect on the ice we have to have temperatures in the teens, on clear nights for a least a week. Cloud cover acts like an insulator and doesn't allow the cold of space in or the heat of the earth out. We have had cloud cover since Sunday and no break in the clouds until the middle of next week.
Here are the facts, as we know them. We promised to keep all of you updated so you all can make your own decisions based on our observation of the conditions of the ice on the bay. Now, it's killing us to think that we can't make this happen, because it sounded like the best time ever on the bay. We, D&S, have standards to uphold, that is what makes our track set ups safe for prostock/open mod sleds. People's safety will always come first and then second the protection of all equipment (ours and everyone who uses our track).
Our official position goes like this.... We believe the current conditions of the ice on Anchor bay are not safe for racing prostock or open mod sleds. As of this moment, we suggest you make secondary plans. We do not want you all to come down here to find out we're not going to set up the track. We are leaving the decision up to you, whether or not you come down here, because we know a lot of you have long way to travel.
We will be going out there tomorrow to check on the conditions and then again Saturday morning, before we make our final decision. If on Sat morning, if we find puddles on the track we will not set up the track. If we don't run on Sat, we will check again on Sun to see if we can run. We will let you know whatever the case.
It's all of your own personal decisions whether you make the trip or not. It would really suck if we couldn't make this happen, but there are other weekends and other places. Maybe we could all put our heads together and figure out another place to run, if you don't want to go to the Phatman.
If you would like to call Dave and find out directly he can be reached @ 810-397-5901. Give Dave a call on Friday nite or even Sat morning if you are still considering coming down here.
