I just got back on wednesday from Le Cabanon. Three of us said the trails over all were the best we had seen in a long time. We couldn't believe it. The bad areas are Mt. Trinity in St Michele and the immediate roads in most every town. Once you hit the actual trail systems they can run from 8-10.
Trail 318 from Le Cabanon to Club Koubec was a 10 , saw only two sleds the whole way there.
From Koubec's to Mandeville was great except for the short road sections.
Mandeville to St Come was also great. The only bad portion was between St Jean De Matha and St Come. there is a Mt. that has some water freezing across the trail and they had a tape across the trail but it was 1/2 taken down. After going about 5-7 miles we found the ice! The only way to climb it was to go fast at the bottom and motocross across it. We all made it, however an inexperienced rider or two up people would have a problem. Proceed with caution in this section.
St Come to Coin Lavigne was perfect as was the local trail to St Zenon. We never went into St Zenon, rather headed south to La Glacierand took 350 to 345 north to Le Cabanon.
Mt Tremblant park from The Rouge Matawin relay to Coin Lavigne was about 8 out of 10. Very smooth with some Ice on the inside corners. No complaints from me!
The best trails are from Le Cabanon to the dam and over to the River Mattawin on 360. a definte 9-10. We came back and took the trail 360 around Lac Taureau , again a 9-10. Rode the lake from the Auberge Du Lac Toro to St Michele.
The lake was staked and comfortable at 50 MPH.
All in all a great trip, 475 miles in 2 1/2 days. The sun is getting warm so hurry. This new storm may give them another week or two, but don't hesitate to go. Especially during the week. There are very few people on the trails.
Enjoy Combat
