I'm from Wilton CT and have a house in Chester, VT I ride either to woodford or to belmont. And those special trips to St. J or Island Pond are great aswell.

I llived down there for 2 years. I just talked to a couple friends in fairfield, and they say its a mess down there. 95 is flooded, and traffic is nasty...good luck with the trip.

I work in Wilton. I am looking out my window right now at the Norwalk river overflowing its banks. My office is above The Gap/Chou Chou.

Small world. . . . I just moved to Charlotte, VT from Darien last summer. I worked in Stamford and got tired of driving for 7 hours every weekend to be in VT. Couldn't be happier about the move. You guys are next!
I work at Keough's Rental Center which is the border of Ridgefield/Wilton so I dont have that far to go to work. But I agree the drive north is a pain, I make it to VT about 3 hrs, and if I go north another 2 hrs to St J or somewhere. I am driving up around 2pm tommorrow and maybe do a night ride with my neighbor and then Sunday probably riding from Peru area to Danby then Belmont and back, I am taking a newbie out so I have to take it easy to see how it goes.
Rode from sitzmark through chimneyhill early sunday am. a quick 30 mile blast .no traffic at all, just a xcountry skier,trails were in great shape.
Hope it holds out at least one more week. weather report looks good for the weekend.

You may be right. I am thinking about moving to Albany(I went to college there). That way I will be closer to the snow in the winter and I'll still be near some water for boating.
