Hey fellow Triple junkies,
I just came across what I think is my dream sled at the deal of a lifetime, just got to sweet talk the wife into letting me take out a loan to buy it. It's a '96 ZRT800 bored .200 over (anybody know what the cc's would be?), also has a Fast M-10 longtrack rear suspension with a Fox res rear shock, new 144"x2" x15 Camoplast Challenger track (assuming he swapped in smaller drivers to clear the track), and looks like the AGLT front end mod with Works Performance shocks up front, and some type of wider aftermarket skis. Body is clean only 1 small crack (1 1/2" long) in the hood from being opened too far, looks like stock pipes, and has the green hood vent screens, tunnel extension looks factory, and looks like you could haul a spare 2 gal. gas can if wanted. So how much do you guys think this beast should be worth?????? At the price this guy's asking I think I may have to act fast or miss out.

TTT

Come on people, help a fellow Triple junky out here, need estimated value's to hit the wife with when she gets home. lol

If my math is correct its a 81mm bore. It probably has 700 zr/ wildcat pistons and a base gasket shim. 1004 cc I think.
Good setup if done right.

So what would be a good ballpark guess on value? It does look like he took very good care of it from what I can see with it sitting on the trailer. Another bonus for me is if I get it, my son gets my '96 ZRT600 so I'll be able to ride more. I got him a 79 Pantera for next to nothing last summer, but both clutches took a dump last week so he has been bummed since we're finally getting good snow.

$1500 would be fair, how many miles? I sold a 97 ZRT 1004 with 8000 miles on it, and a complete rebuild on the motor. Flawless sled, got $2300

My best guess $1600-$1800 range if sled is nice. If so GO 4 IT !

I figure he's got around $2500 invested just in the suspension mods and the new track, which look fairly new, didn't climb up on the trailer to check the mileage, but looks really clean, he's asking $2,000.

May be fair? Who did the engine/ Stock or aftermarket pipes? Again miles tell all. I would offer him $1500 and settle on $1750. lots of sleds sitting around.

Don't know who did the engine work yet, didn't want to waste the guy's time only to have the wife squash the deal lol. She has the final say in this since she has to make the monthly payments until I get back to work this summer, then I can easily pay it off with one paycheck.
