Couple questions regarding my track. I was running on a pond. Mainly spent a couple hours dragging back and forth. There was a ton of people out there so it was quite a blast lining up and just running against each other.
Well after about 2 hours, upon wot at take off, there was this jerking coming from the track right under the seat. It felt like the track was slipping.. like the studs were grabbing then letting go.. just a quick jerking and it would affect my takeoffs. Now anywhere from 0 - 3/4 throttle it was fine and I could get up to 104-108mph dragging across. My thoughts were that the track was ratcheting under full throttle. Prior to the winter we did loosen the track a bit as it was overly tight. I put on over 500 miles (currently 830 miles on the odomoter) prior to this issue. I ended up turning the adjustment 1 - 1 1/4 turns to tighten the track and although it eliminated most of it, it still happens at times.
The track is definately a lot tighter.. tight enough that it's slowing me down now.. I can only get to about 100mph or so now with the last couple of drags I did before having to load it up on the trailer and go home.
any ideas on what's going on and why all of a sudden it is doing this?
