I've got a Magura twist that fits my Firecat. I know a couple of guys that use them and swear by them.Alot of guys on here will call you names [At least I was when I posted about this]for wanting to do it but I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. If you have ever done a tank slapper at 80mph flying through the air at a 30* angle to the direction you are going with a 150+ HP sled screaming at full throttle because you are on the windshield with your body against the flipper you will understand what I meen!!!! With a twist I might have been able to release it but with the flipper I was in TROUBLE !!! You will lose your heating element though.

well i was thinking about it for my next sled, whatever i decide to get, if people want to call u names because u use a twist throttle, then let them because the way i see it is that a twist throttle is different and unique, its not something that u normally see on the trails and it sets u apart from everybody else... what r some of the disadvantages of a twist throttle?

The only one that concerns me is freezing up. The guys I know have never had an issue with it. Also Sno-Hawks come with a twist grip.
