does ne one know how much i can take off the heads if i plan on double base gaskets. i trail ride and have a 2 deg. key, v force 3. 340 mains. thnx for any help

I almost have the same set-up in my 97. Double base gasket, hogged out reed cages with Boyeson dual stage petals, reed spacers, Black magic air box, 370 mains, and 35 pilots. I run .045 squish, 145 P.S.I. compression. I believe you can go down to .039 squish, but I wouldn't go that tight, especially with a 2* key. I run 93 octane plus octane booster, no detonation. Got about 2000 miles on this set-up, without any problems. It rocks! You will be suprised how much, it wakes up!!
