Looks like my riders are having trouble making this ride with me! Looking for 1-3 hardcore saddlebag riders to join me for a 1500-2000 mile tour around ontario! Thinking of starting around st.mary's or listowell and heading towards north bay or anywhere you may like to go. the destinations are flexible and open to suggestion! We could even dump into Quebec if you want!
You must have a top condition sled preferably under 4000 miles, all serviced and good to go.We would be riding 200-250 miles per day. You must have the ontario trail permit on your sled. No newbies, experienced riders only. I keep a fast pace but you must drive with the mindset that the truck{support vehicle} will become farther away each day so safety and defensive driving is necessary! So anyone want to do a big superloop out there!!!!!! This trip could be shortened up if need be.

Gee, I wondering what is your idea of a NEWBIE. 200 miles is the average ride when I go out.

There is a huge difference between 200 miles "when you go out" & 200+ miles for 7 days straight!!!!

Almost 3900 miles and all that broke was the drive belt on mine. I see from these pics that these are the early builds! I have the final production model and it runs solid! yes there was problems with the 04 zr900 act drive but i have seen a 05 firecat with 10000 miles on,without a hiccup!

Sounds fun, but I learned my lesson years ago, never again will I try to tour with cats. I like to spend my time riding, not towing or looking for dealers, or waiting on the trailside while people jimmyrig their sleds. To each their own, but that is not for me.

So your saying you would'nt let me come, if i brought my 95 mxz 440 which has 16000 km's ? I think you need to be a little more flexible, then maybe you'll have a bunch more riders.

Better watch out you might be riding on dirt.
You might want to bring an extra set of sliders with you.
Have fun!!

I toured with a 03 rev in 04, towed him to the skidoo dealer for a new clutch, then 5 days later towed him back to the same dealer for gas! your cat riders didn't take good care of their sleds!

It's a long story business related, I haven't done one tour this winter

But it's been a real blessing this winter that there has been snow close to home and I have been able to get several day trips in
I am planning on getting one four day UP tour in, starting the 14th or 21st, I'm nervous about waitng till the 21st.

Mar 3 2007, 04:13 PM
I guess i'll see you next winter then lol. You may want to get a 1000 skidoo if you wanna keep up. There's no need to get the 1000 cat because we all know how realiable those are lol.

I'LL TOW TO YOU AND LET'S TEAR UP QUEBEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
You know it is always a piss off when you can't make a perfectily good tour. I can't get away this week! I have to be in Red Deer to fire a shit manager and hire a new one. By the time I get back to Ottawa we will be in melt down. I should have fired his ass last time out!!! I lost a week of riding then too. I know what it is like to have a NEW CAT(is there any other kind?) and riding partners who can't make the tour.
For what it's worth, and you will tow, next season look me up and i will give you a guided tour of Eastern Ontario with all the bells and whistles. We may not live in the north but our trail system is excellent and well groomed with hotels and pit stops who cater to the sledder in every town. i would love to ride a week and have to change my oil when we got back.
If you do get to tour, tell us about it. Reading it would at least be some small compromise for me. I'll say GOOD DAY to the Alberta riders for you.
