Does anyone have groomer pics/plans/ideas that have worked for them? Looking for a drag capable of being pulled by a l136" ong track or wider workhorse (Skandic) around parks and crown land areas and for ski trails. Also considering converting an ATV to tracks and using that to pull it around? Considering turning this into a 4-H project for next fall.

Hi,

Small groomers is possible, there are several possibilities: Argo, Snowmobile, ATV. It is how much money you want to spent and how reliable do you want it. Have used Yamaha VK and Grizzly for grooming.
Thanks,

Greg

Lacrosse Groomers in East Jordan Michigan is working on a prototype small groomer and a set of extra wheels for a 4 wheeler to increase surface area on the snow. Clarence Lacrosse is the man you want to talk to.

Why would anybody want to go back to hand crank adjustment. Two options for pulling a small drag. Angle iron with a loose hitch (rope or cable). Or a mini w/ trip edges with a hydraulic lift. Not a screw jack either.
Dragon Man
Our club has one for sale right now. We are growing our fleet and sold one of out 2 scandics without the drag. The drag is about 10 to 12 ft long and 50 inches wide. I built it 3 yrs ago with a wench lift system that you control with a thumb toggle and it works really nice. it has 6 cutting edges that go only halfway across so the snow zig zags to the rear packing pan. Nice unit that works well. We would sell it for $1400. For more info call me at 814-664-2874. I am located in northwestern PA.

You might want to take a look at my groomer. It is manually adjustable for now, but soon will be electric. You will have to register and be logged in to see the pics.
