I did hear a 12 yr old girl got killed in a sled vs. car accident. I think she was on a 2up with her 15 yr old brother driving. I didn't get any details.

Regret to inform all that the girl has just died tonight...90% reliable source. She had some trouble breathing last night and had to have cpr a couple times during the night. I beleive she died this evening.
I was at the bar the woman left, too. Ive seen her in there before. From what i could tell she wasnt drunk when she left, which i think was around 10 15 or so. Sad story, and she is gonna pay...charge probably just went from aggravated oui to vehicular manslaughter. Hope the bar doesnt get in trouble, i know both the owners personally and they are not the type to let a person leave whom they thought was visibly drunk.

This was a seperate accident in Greenfield NH. Strangely similar to the one in Farmington Maine, but the teenagers were not hit by a drunk driver.

Anyone read the 3rd comment under the story in the blog. What an A-hole. My condolences to the family of both riders.

Yea the clown doesnt even kow what he is talking about. Im guessing he knows the drunk driver. he sure as hell doesnt know the victims or how to ride a sled and probably not a car either.

1 person died, to whoever asked.
May get riled for this, but i have heard from a firefighter that was there that the sled was partly in the road. He was crossing from a parking lot and had to go over a curb on the other side (4 lane highway). There is virtually no snowbank. I have never seen anyone get caught on a curb, especially going straight across. Seems like maybe he wasnt going straight like he should have been across the road because the trail does. I guess if i saw a car coming i would either A-wait and not cross, or B-wait for it to go by before i got anywhere near the road in the dark on a friday night.
This still doesnt condone what the woman did, and the fact she was drunk made it even worse, and no im not defending her because i have seen her in there before and dont like her. I also heard she blew a .20 BAC.

We all know what it is like to not have perfect carbides. Maybe he missed the trail entrance buy a foot. There probably wasn't a car when he started but after he had to get off the sled and straighten it out the car came. Who knows? All we know is that it is just an unfourtunate accident.

Dude, .20% is fucked up. regardless of the sled being stuck, if a sober person was behind the wheel they would most likely have seen the sled and avoided it.
