how do i test the stater on a 2002 800xcsp. i just completely rebuilt this motor from the bottom up went to start it and now ther is no fire. tested all the other things , swiches ect.

Do you have power getting to the starter? Turn the key to crank and hold either a test light or a volt meter to the + (hot) terminal of the starter. If there is no power getting to it then the solenoid or relay may be bad (if it has one). If you are getting the proper voltage to it then the starter may be bad or have a bad ground. There could also be a solenoid built into the starter. But if you don't have power getting to the starter then you won't have to worry about that.
The battery could also be low.

I think he meant stator(no spark).Run a second ground.
