Went out for about a 50 mile local ride here on the coast on sunday. As you all know, the temps were very warm and the snow was disappearing rapidly. Overall the trails were ok except for one thing....ATV's were all over them. We met up with a group of 4 ATV's on one section of trail and a few others throughout the ride.
Come on people, the local clubs are dragging when they can and trying to keep the trails rideable and the stupid ATV's come along and spin up whats left of the snow. They get 9 good months to ride and they can't stay off the trails for the 3 short months of winter we get now. No respect!

WELL it IS Illegal.. you should have cuffed and stuffed them.!!
Ha.. next time pull over, say.. " HEY nice 4-wheelers, I have one too, maybe if I got your names and numbers we can go riding sometime"..! HA then the phone call you make is to your local Game Warden with names and numbers....!!! PUNKS.!
lol whatda kick in the nads.!!
All State funded snowmobile trails are illegal to ride with ATV's..!! most local snowmobile clubs get they're money from the state grants.. which makes them STATE maintained trails.... exception would be if its a ATV club/snowmobile club trail.... and I don't know how that all works.!

I saw two ATV's in Wilton this weekend on the trails. As they passed me in the other direction I got nailed with snow and dirt and they really left some deep ruts on the trail. I am not 100% against sharing the trails as long as they show some respect. I also came across someone on a snowmobile who looks like they just kept whacking the throttle and digging down to the ground over and over and over and they ruined the trail. Some people just suck...
