anyone been out on Simcoe or the holland canal in the last few days?

Havent been out since the last weekend. Still holding up alright? Planing on getting out there for sunday

it was real cold last night probably tightened things up. wind was howling though so not sure. will get out hopefully this afternoon tomorrow for sure

Just got back, lake is solid, I went down the river in the wack, you can tell it was soft but has now hardened up again! be carefull of the hardened slush tracks on the river, lots of snow on the ice though, there are some awsome jumps on the lake where they plow the roads! Easily clear the roadway!!

KonTiki, there is a lot of snow out there, if you want to do radar runs, better bring a plow

Can any one suggest a good place to park? I looking to head out from Keswick or Holland landing and go up to Innisville (radar runs on Saturday). I would need a spot with snow banks in order unload the sled from the truck.

Holland landing, where the river comes to Queensville sideroad there is a little parking lot. More like a wide road with a sholder, but its off queensville and there is no trafic. Goes to a marina right there. Its easy to find...

Dont look at the star, look for at the river that goes down to queensville sdrd. Right by River Drive Park. There will be a bunch of trucks and trailers i'm sure.

Just make sure you GPS your route... or on th way back, in remember to stay left when the river forks <<< it does it twice.

Soldiers bay, north on Leslie street till you hit Queensville Sideroad, then go west, you will pass 2nd concession, then Yonge Street, and its on the North side of the road, you will see it.

Was out there yesterday. Passed by probably at 5ish. Ended up following a car down the river driving like an idiot. That just some of the stupidity you have to deal with out there though. Thats just asking to kill someone.

River was great though and so was the lake. Drove from the landing to the north end on Keswick.
