Hello all. I've got 2003 Edge X 800 I'd like to get some help with the clutching. My max rpm right now is 7900 rpms. I'd like to raise my engagement up to 5000 rpms without losing my max rpm of 7900. I was thinking of getting them belly buster clutch weights and a spring. I need to know what weight springs I need to have my engagement at 5000 rpms....I have the Polaris OEM Team Industries Secondary, which i will leave on....I would just like to have my engagement up to 5000 cause I will be in 1/4 mile drag races coming in April.....any help would be greatly appreciated....

With your M10, you do not want 5000 engagement. You want to keep the stock engagement, unless you have a deep lug track, then no more than an almond/blue spring. Your best increase would be to put in 70 or 68 gram weights, depending on your weight. Also, is the helix a 62/46-.46, with a black/red spring?

I agree w/ pockets, engagement @ 5000 will not get you anywhere but dig a hole - unless you have really, really good traction.

Thanks for the advice pockets. As for the engagement increase I'll forget about that. I have the OEM Polaris 1 3/4 track on...Don't know what set-up is on my secondary, I'm gonna have to take it apart soon to find out..before it's too late. Wouldn't I lose rpms going to a heavier spring though? Hit me back....

What color spring is in your primary? If it is black/green its a 120-340 lb spring and your at 3800 engagement. You could go to a Almond and be around 4500-4600. 140-330 lb. springThat track has pretty big lugs and should handle it.

Yeah you're right, my engagement is at 3800, but I have the light blue spring . As for the Almond spring, I think I'll get one of those....thanks....
