Like the title says, it was 100% better then on 2-13. Came up through Groton on 232, Groton was awsome. There is a small stretch, mile or so where Groton stops grooming and must be where Cabot starts. Not sure why it doesn't get groomed, maybe landowner or trail to narrow. You can only do about 5-10 mph through alot of it. Also rode up through Hardwick over to Craftsbury. Had to break some of the trail from OS55 to where the trail crosses Rt 14. From there the groomer had just gone through tracking it up to LE11. I was very surprised that some of the trail no one had been on yet after a week. Then we went to Wolcott, through Plainfield, E. Montpelier back to Orange. Most trails were pretty good. Should be pretty good this weekend.

This Peacham Trail is not assigned to anyone...

We have asked VAST if Luke can take it on...Matt needs to get Alexis to approve it and amend Luke's contract and then that section of trail will start getting groomed. It was kind of left in no mans land after a landowner shut down the trail that used to get the previous groomer out there. Stay posted!

Yeah I rode that stretch coming south from cabot yesterday it sucked!!, But Kudos to you guy's for the rest of your trails they were top notch!!

Was this the same landowner that had Jct CA14 on his land? That closure shut down the best way to danville from the groton area..

From what we understand it is associated to the same landowner issue you are talking about...hopefully by next week sometime Luke will be able to get in there and knock down those 2 1/2 foot moguls... we will keep everyone informed! Hey and thanks for the kudos...we appreciate it!

Rode through there yesterday, definitely gives the suspension and legs a good work out. It is about a 2 mile stretch. Worth riding through it because cabot trails were awsome. I did 220 miles yesterday, just wished some of the other trails were half as good as those were. It will be nice if that section could get groomed at least once.

Thank you for the comments.... we tried to get a hold of VAST today but no luck...we will try again tomorrow... hopefully the next time Luke goes out to groom he can hit that trail...

Land owners name is Frank Berwick from Peachum, He was or maybe still is a big wig in the Bayley Hazen club in Peachum. He did the same thing last year closing his land. I was told by a friend that he is a really nice guy. I can't understand what the issue is and why he is doing this. If someone knows the real reason ( I'V HEARD MANY) could you please take a moment ant explain it to us all. Also what does the future looks like for this problem? How and when might it get resolved?

We Cabot skylighters are working with the other clubs around to try to remedy this situation prior to next season. We will keep you posted.
