On my 98' xcr 440 i got a new chain new gears and nothing seems to be wrong with the splines in the jack shaft or drive shaft but if i tighten it the track wont move and if i loosen it the chain slips, i cant seem to get it right. Any ideas?

Is your track loose with some sag in the middle? If your track tension is too tight, that would strain the chain and gears? Possibly clutch issues with it engauges? Just a couple of ideas for you, Good Luck Mark

Thanks for the idea, i looked at it again today and the bearing just started to go bad so its all taken care of now thanks anyways
