my buddy just bought a 2000 skidoo 600 mxz and i was wondering where the best way to wire in a heated shield hookup. we were gonna get the ski-doo factory one but it has to be ordered from the dealership and will take some time to get so we are going to splice in the one provided from HJC. so where are you guys wiring in your? no battart on it eathier

If i remember correctly i beleive you need yellow and brown wires. Yellow being regulated voltage and brown being ground. Not 100% sure on the color. either way you need to find supply voltage and ground. Remember voltage is ac not dc. Hope this helps.

Yellow will be your hot wire and black and yellow will be your ground. If your 2000 is the same as my 99 there should be a "T" connecter in the harness that comes up by the oil resevoir with nothing connected to it and you can hook it up to that connecter.

you can also check under the plastic at the base of the handle bars, there should be an unused connector. Just tap into the wires and you should be fine. My Shield works great, no problems. all you need is a test light. I would post pics but sleds up at the house in NY and i am in Jersey. Hope this helps
