why are they better and where can i get some?

Supposedly they dont break as easily. Get them at your dealer. #5134492. You need two of them.

Part #5134492. My bad the first time. Also, anyone have problems with the SS yet? I just changed mine after eating an Aluminum one.

Aluminum has a much lower melting point (around 1400*f depending the alloy mix), stainless is over 2500*f melting point. Your exhaust EGT is for the most part very close to the melting point of aluminum. The question I have is why did polaris stop selling the Ti valves , they have a melting point of over 3200*F !

Those stainless valves listed are for an 800. Polaris doesn't make stainless valves for the 700 to the best of my knowledge.

I was looking into the same thing about a month ago. Check out this thread for more info.http://www.hardcoresledder.com/forums/index.php?act=findpost&pid=2413107

if you go to your dealer and ask for power valves for your 700, the new SS ones should supercede the old ones.

But aren't the 700 valves different than the 800 valves? They never made SS valves specifically for the 700 I don't think. I would think the 800 valves would be shorter because of the larger cylinder bore.

Sorry guys. I just replied with the # I used for stainless valves about a week ago. Forgot to check what they were going into (a 700).
