Im torn between getting a 600sdi 144 summit and modding my F5. I would leave the Summit reltively stock. If i keep my F5 i would get a 151 track, mountain skis, M bars, 05 seat, and a drop bracket. the 10hp differance doesnt bother me at all. My last sled was a 550f so anything faster than that is god enough 4 me. I would cut the lugs down 2 1.5 inches on both the summit and the F5. Any thoughts??

What about the M7? Im lookin at that 2.

151 might be over kill an even a mod F5...? i was considering a 144 2" for my F5 SP, we'll see...? i'm still wondering how well the 13.5" track will work hillclimbing though, mabye a bit to narrow

no question, 600 Summit. The sheer handling alone is reason anough, plus the narrow track on the F5 is horible in the snow. I have seen long tracked f7's getting stuck where the 600 summits are not even working hard.

Just my opinion though

yea, the fcats 4 alot lighter than summits so they dont need as big of a track. my 03f5sp 1.375" is ok in pow w/o the drop bracket. i just found out my frame is bent so now i might get a 440sp and put a 151 on it. Even Burandt rode a 151 F7 in slednecks 7. smiley-faces7.gif

how do you figure your fCat is lighter?

im not 100% sure on this but when i bought my summit i bought it off the owner of an aftermarket snowmobile shop and he told me my 06 800 144 weighs around 450... and isnt a firecat like 480? i could be totaly wrong on this but its just what sive heard
ive never riden a Fcat but i would be damn impressed if it went better than my summit, i am simply amazed with it and would tell anyone to get one

i've never ridden a 600 summit or a f5 but i have ridden the m7. i own a rev 800 summit and if i ever decided to change brands i would definately buy a f7. great handling sled, doesn't seem to have the power of my 800 but great sled. if you can afford it i would definately go with the m7. have fun!
