Well boys,

All good things must come to an end - the 700 is up for sale. She has been real, real good to me - but as time is going by, she needs a new home (that and it frankly scares the shit out of me-waaay to fast). Time for her to scare the hell out of someone else.

I figure before I get married this fall- I had better buy a new sled and get it over with while I am still financially independant. Here's the low-down

The Good:
1998 VMAX 700SX
Three Cylinder, 700cc, non-powervalved
Track is decent, stock .75 Camoplast.
V-force 3 Reeds
Bender Triple Pipes with Stingers
USI PX-301 Skiis
Adjustable transfer rods
Rebuildable KYB shocks
New hyfax (August 2006)
New skegs (February 2006)
Sled was dealer serviced and tuned in summer of 2005
Suspension was dropped, was regreased and bushings were replaced in August 2006.

The Bad
- Speedo Says ~600 miles, the cable drive housing and cable were frozen, all components were replaced in August 2006 (works fine now)
- Pull Cord snapped, replaced pull cord, tensioner spring and recoil housing in January 2007 (works fine now)
- The track is in decent shape - however it is not nearly enough for the sled, studs or a new 1" track is recommended (I mosey around and didn't need the hookup so left it stock)

The Ugly
- The gauge pod is cracked - all gauges work fine;
- There are rub marks on the front of the cowl, looks like prior owner had straps on there at some point, not noticeable unless up close.
- The stock air cleaner element assembly is pretty beat up (the removable foam and plastic cover on the airbox), will need a new assembly at some point
- one control arm (radius rod) in the front suspension is slightly bent, been that way since I bought it, no effect on handling

All in all in decent shape for 9 years old, the sled is really, really fast - but just not what I am looking for anymore. Its been good to me - but time for something newer and a little slower and quieter. Will post additional pictures this weekend.

Asking $1600 OBO
