Just wondering, what the performance is with the pin update in the primary. More Speed? Stronger mid-range?

Just looking for opinions.

Well for some reason the 07 mach z seems to be hit or miss in the top end speed department I would run the sled with out the added pin weight if you can get your rpm to 7800 then check your speed. then add the pin weight and try again and check your speed and then go from there my speedo is 8 miles off of the gun speed just mt 02.

The first thing most guys did with there 05 and 06 machs was to add 16.5 gram pins in the primary.

The pins that come with the 07 are the samething, they add wieght to allow you to turn the clickers to 3 from 6
This will give you about 7800 rpm engine speed and you tach will most likely say 8000rpm

The difference will blow you away.

Hope this helps.

My 07 has the pin upgrade, clicker on 3, 1.25 track with 144 up the middle, I weigh 175 lbs. and the most I see on the speedo is 106, not impressive at all! My 02 800xcsp hits 119 on the speedo with 9800 miles! My Mach has 1350 miles. Not a happy camper!

What RPM are you pulling?
adrenalator8
jackstraw.

There is something else wrong for sure,

I have never had my mach run below 120mph on plowed lake, and all thats done is the pins.

One other thing is I wouldn't go by what the speedo on the Polaris says, get them trough a radar gun or a GPS and then compare.

7900 RPMS, and I can ease off the throttle and maintain that speed.

I no the speedo's are off on my Polaris when I had it at 120 on the speedo, it was 109 on GPS a couple years ago. But on the same token only 106 on the mach speedo means maybe 100 on gps, not good! Do the added pin weight hurt top end? It pulls hard to 100 then that's it! The fuel pump was replaced at 490 miles. I've heard of a few guy's complaining about top end on the 07's.

I have a 05 with 07 mapping ,I went to a radar event 2 weeks ago and ran 124.7,126,126.5 stock sled with 16.5 gram pins.

there is another reason for it not working right,a sensor, fuel pressure or it's stuck in fail safe mode.

I've got the same setup running a Ripsaw. If you don't mind, what track are you running and how many studs?
adrenalator8
I'm running the stock 1" track with 144 woody golddiggers.
