I just returned from a ride on BRT and wanted to warn everyone of a large rock. As you cross 20 going north the trail makes a left turn. If you continue straight as many do there is a large rock frozen into the ground right in the middle of the path. I hit the rock doing about 40 and the sled went airborn and so did I but in different directions. I haven't had a chance to look the sled over but I was able to drive it back home. I was lucky, seems only a banged up arm and knee.
So be careful with all this snow sometimes there are things you can't see.
Also want to thank the two guys that stopped to see if everything was ok.

Looks like it split open the weld on the chassis at the rear of the bellypan where it screws in just below the front heat exchanger. It did not seem to do any damage to the front heat exchanger so other than the hole seems like its still rideable.
Track and rear suspension also seem fine. I think she'll be good to go once the swelling goes down in my arm. grinning-smiley-023.gif

Glad to hear you're ok...I seen a black ZL sitting across from the 19th hole around noon, wonder if that was you? With regards to hitting an object off the trail....everybody's been off trail, but just reinforces the "stay on the trail"

I saw that rock last weekend. I figured someone was going to nail it but it wouldn't budge. As Randy said, kind of makes you think about staying on the trail. I go off trail occasionally too and that's a chance you take when doing so. Sorry to hear you hit it.

It still didn't budge. I think I will be staying on trail for a while. It kinda hurts when you hit the ground. grinning-smiley-023.gif Like my wife always says, "You're 43 not 23".
Wasn't me at the 19th hole. I'm silver with yellow trim.

since it won't budge, is there any way to mark it?

Glad you're ok Zee...

Since it's not on the trail system, if we did mark it we could be setting ourselves up for monetary compensation.

I thought the same thing. If we mark that one, and someone hits another rock in another field and gets really hurt, we could be setting ourselves up for some trouble. We've got to stick to making sure the trail is clear.

Now if someone goes out on there own and tries to mark it, that would be different. But I'm not sure how you could mark it since the ground is very frozen.

I'm just glas you're ok.

If we would just get another 2 feet of solid snow that rock would dissapear! biggrin.gif
