Thinking of making a trip to St. Johnsbury the week of March 5-11th. Looking for good place to stay that has places to eat and drink within walking distance of hotel and gas near by on the trail. If the current storm holds up to the predictions and no freak warm up it may be good riding. Does any have info on the area, good loops to take (looking to do 100- 150 mile trips). Or is there a better place in the area to go for riding just trying to stay outside of Island Pond.

Comfort Inn I have stayed in before and has nice trail access. I didn't walk anywhere to eat, but they have free breakfast and cater to sledders.

I agree...nice access to trails, short 2 minute drive to downtown St. J and you'll have all the food you can eat.

Consider PettyCo Junction

On one side of the street(Rt.18) is Pub and Hotel- the other is a Gas station and Mini-mart with a breakfast/lunch deli (Merl's)
Direct access to Trail 18 and it is right off Exit 1 of Rt. 93 in Vermont.
