I have a simalar setup with 192 5/16 1.175 woodys gold diggers in a 1 iceclaw track. I used studboy bouble backers just in the center strip of the track. After tightening the backers the studs stand up about 3/8 inch.
For a more balanced trail setup I would go 4 in the middle than 2 outside 2 mid, and so on like that.
I like studboy backers becouse they are the strongest aluminum backer i have seen to date. bu I have had some luck with round plastic microlite backers also. just not on a tcat.
The regular nuts that should come with the studs will work fine.
My setup works fine at the drag strip on the lake. But I have no cornering studs just traightline acceleration.

i have 196 5/16 1.180's studboy's in my 1 inch camo predator, proper placement is the key to traction.
1.070's are going to be to short for any hook, you also want 5/16 with at least 1 inch heads
i wasn't happy with the woody's diggers i ran in the last couple tracks. seemed quite soft, bent and broke quite afew, they also wore very quickly. i also agree with the studboy square backers as tough as nails. the set of studboys i had a few tracks ago seemed to be pretty solid. so far the set i'm running now seem to hold up ok. i only had to change afew bent ones, but the snow here has sucked this year and i'm suprized i have any left at all. big bore tracks do quite abit more spinning and grabbing than other sleds, so don't even think of using plastic backers. know how i know this?? make shure you use red loc-tite on the nyloc nuts too.

I have 192 .875 7mm studs in my camoplast racing track with 3/4" lugs. The studs stick out the exact 3/8 of an inch tht woodys recommends and I have put 4000 miles on it and have only changed 10 (1 bent, 9 missing carbide). I installed my studs to the woodys specs to the letter including torquing them.
It will almost hook up on ice roads, I just have to not go WOT for a fraction of a second and then hit it. You would have to use longer studs as your track has bigger lugs. Just go with the 3/8 rule and visit woddystraction.com

I would go with 1.325" studs with 144 down the center (all in double backers) and 48 on the outside (saber micro light backers)
The problems with thundercats is the torque they give out, witch makes them spin alot out of the hole and lose races agenst smaller sleds. With the longer studs it gives you the traction you need, For a stud id go with woodys megabites. There cheaper and a better stud everyplace but on ice vs a gold digger
