I bought a new Crossfire 700 last week (prices too good to let it go) and we went riding this weekend in the U.P. I have an 03 F7 with a D&D 900ss motor in it that really rocks. Well, the F7 spit the track out so I started riding the X-fire. Then I thought to myself, why not swap the big motor into the X-fire? Everything will work, except the clutching and gearing which is all totally different so I couldn't swap the parts from the F-7 over. Anyway, I made the swap and the X-fire is a fricken ROCKET up to 85 or so, but has NO top end. The F7 was running 115+ with ease.

So, what I need to know is what is the stock gear ratio in the 06 Crossfire 7 Sno Pro? I am going to need to increase it to maximize the output of the F9 motor. I didn't find the gear numbers on the parts breakdown. Any help would be great! Thanks

60-60 are the gears in the 2006 summer build sleds. I'd think F7 gears would work great with your F9. I think you would probably benefit from a 10.4 clutch mod also.

I think I am going to go with 66/54 (or 54/66, I don't know how they are listed) anyway, it's a 1.73 ratio. The stock 60/60 set is 2.11. I am also going to add the 10.4 clutch. It should have some top end now and still keep the low end grunt with the 10.4 clutch. Thanks
