i ride more pow then trail and curently the snow heer is 2 feet plus.. short tracks dont cut it and a 136 track wont be enough in the moutains for me.

i like jumps, drops, being able to tune suspension

there have been so many people posting and complaining about the new 800r toasting.

looking for honest opinions.. sorry for not putting poo and yami cause there not what im looking for. apex is to heavy for my liking.

the new m's ive heard nothing but good about them.. and that they are awsome.

the summits i hear they are awsome but the motor blows up and im not looking to replace it lots.

i dont want to long of track 144 sounds right for me but if a 153 isnt that much noticable.. i would consider buying one

please reply pros and cons of all. and what sounds right for me

Well out of your list i would go with the M8 153". I guess i haven't heard anything bad about the new 800 like you have with doo's 800R, but you don't hear about it blowing anyone away. Honestly I would reconsider not wanting a Polaris. The 700 in the dragon from what i have been reading is an awesome machine. Friend bought the 600 HO w/155" track, has slp pipe and silencer, SLP intake and that sled rips. I would say that 600 HO outperforms his 2005 RMK 700 by far. If you have a chance i would go out and ride each and find what feel best for you.

yes i have considered the dragon rmk but i have just sat on it.. and i didnt even like the feel. yea you can bash me.. but it wasnt what i was looking for.

im starting to think the m8 snopro cause a little more track cant hurt espieally in deeper snow where the extra track isnt really noticable.

the 141 would be more nimble but all that ajustability i would definatly feel everytime i ride. yes i know you can get spring block ajuster things..

but as a moutain bike rider that uses a 1100 front fork with rebound preload high low speed compression.. and im always fiddling with it..

i think i would definatly feel the pain if i didnt buy a snowpro.

adding floats and suspenion to a 141 m8 would be too expensive i think.. the floats alone are 700 for the front and im nto sure about the rear

havent checked.

ski-doos use a wider track so you can have the nimbleniss of a 144 with a footprint ok a 153
Ride 207
M8 141, cause if your snow is only 2' deep then all you need is a 141 and why have the extra track length if you dont need it it will just be a pain, and IMO longer tracks are harder to jump, i ride is 5' + with a 144 and i do just fine

i dont like the sumits i know 2 people that just bought 2 bran new this year and they are selling them at the end of the season, one of them first ride broke a coolent line 2 miles down the trail, the others SDI battery was bad and it stalled the sled and had to be towed back, second ride one of ski's got a huge crack in it from hitting just a tiny rock on the trail, then the 1000 blew the motor top and low end, they bol have said that the sleds do climb good, but whats the point in having a good climbing sled if it brakes every time you go out

M8 141" is too short, considering you don't want to ride a 136" track. Go with the 153". It's right in the middle of the pack so you can do climbing, jumping, boondocking. ylsuper.gif

Before you make a decision, go ride a RAW chassis RMK, they are so nimble and flick over real easy. IMO, they are one of the best platforms for '07. Go over to snowest and do a search on them, not one negitive thing about the new Poo's.

Summit X 144 or 151, without a dout. Best mountain sleds ever made. I don't care what some people think, the extra inch of width on the track makes more of a difference then the footprint alone says. if you are only in 2' of powder and it aint to steep, then the 144" summit is the best sled you could ever get. The actual number of 800r's that are actually having problems is very tiny. And the Summit's are still the lightest, most powerfull sled out there; the M8 is close, but not there yet. I have not rode the M8, but I have seen it go head to head with a 800r, both were stock, and the riders alternated between sleds; the 800r pulled harder and climbed higher everytime (snopro vs adreneline).

I have heard once you figure out the clutching on the 800r's they are great sleds(there are some reports of the engines going south). But as far as the best sled out there??? Any of the '07's from Cat, Doo and Pol are all great sleds this year. You cannot go wrong with any of them.

Go over to snowest, you will find tons of info on all of these sleds.

Thanks alot for the voting and replys.

ive also considered a crossfire 8 sp. cause of the extensions to a 144

My riding style is 60 percent is off trail 2 feet snow. 10 percent moutnains 15 jumps and like drops.. just fooling around. and the other is trail.

the crossfire is the same chassis as the m right?

i like the snowpros from ac more cause they come with float shocks and you can ajust the stiffness or ride height.. whatever its called.

the x's from skidoo are just stiffer springs.

yes i have considered polairs.. but im not a fan of there new sleds.. its just a personal thing.. not a bash

Yes the crossfire is in the same chassis as the M-series. From what you described as your riding style that might be a better fit for you. I think you will be surprised as to how much snow you can go through with a 136" track. Thats all I got on my sled and other than climbing I went every where out west that the 144", and 155" went.

M1000 162 sno-pro if i had to give up my kingcat! The 153 just don't cut it! ride with two of them and they are stuck way too often!
