Bring your backbrace and get your chiropractor on speed dial, your gonna need to get your back realligned after a day up there. Also if you dont ride like tucker hibbert trying to win the X-games gold medal your gonna get blown off the trail. Its a shame because there is a ton of snow up there but you just cant snowmobile the right way there..

Drink lots of beer and ride fast, you will fit right in. J/K Get out early before the trails AND riders get too hammered.

Definately ride early on the weekends my best rides last year were when I left camp in Constablrville at 7:00 AM, rode 140 or so miles and back at camp for lunch before everyone else woke up from the night before. Sitting at camp grilling a few dogs and sippin' a beer done riding for the day watching the sleds go by.

Do yourself a favor and stay and ride in Old Forge. Not too far from TH, but so much better. I will probably post later about our weekend up there.

Just got back from our trip.
Based in Old Forge Thursday night got out early Friday morning to the hill and left there by 3 pm.
Only groomer we saw was between the Pine Tree and Stillwater.
Got to say it was the best trail riding on the hill in years, but not what it should be, low traffic and trails were decent for a change. Rode OF Sat and Sun.
Total miles for me this weekend was 407.

The sign at The Quick & Easy say "Customer Parking Only" buy gas (ceaper than the bars) coffee or breakfast there and you are a customer a few weekends ago the lot was full and there were rigs parked in the Alpine parking lot down the street. I would imagine with all this snow the available parking area would be smaller with no place to put the plowed snow.
The Towpath Inn in Turin is where my buds stay when they come up and they really like it. There is also the Edge in Lyons Falls and lots of B&B places.
