Hey BT260
I have read alot of your posts and it's funny to me that you are CONSTANTLY on the defensive about people mentioning the word "wannabe sno crosser" to the point you write short novels while stroking yourself. Although I may think your an egotistical tool that wants everyone one to know that you ride motorcross and dress funky on a sled (you only mention it 1.3 times every post) with your open helmet and goggles, but here's a guy who just has a legitimate question and you go and shoot it down with a dumb unecessary comment. I can only imagine the war and peace novel you would reply with if somebody responded to one of your posts like that......

Well, I guess you guys are all just so much cooler than me. I think I'll sell my sled and buy a gay horse. My defensive stance has to do with being lumped into a group that would label me as a hazard to the safety of other riders. I know exaclty the clowns that you are referring to, but I have, all along, been saying that those idiots come in every size, color and sled type.
If my comment was in fact rude and uncalled for, I guess I could issue an apology, you guys seem to know everything about me, so you decide if it's sincere or not. As for the OCC guys, I think they are very overrated and I've never been a star struck kind of person. What if those guys still ride but wear snocross gear? Would you all still want to kiss their asses?

Granted, Paul Jr. has some artistic vision but if you want to see some real talent watch re-runs of Monster Garage. Jesse James has more talent in his pinky finger then all of the boys from OCC combined. ...And is a nice guy to boot.
I see alot of posts in this thread from people in Saratoga Springs, Philly, MI, etc. praising OCC. You guys only know what you see on TV. If you guys lived in the same community as OCC like I do you would know that they are fortunate to be making the money that they are but in reality they have minimal talent, they are greedy (yes, they even charge the locals who want their autograph), they give nothing back to the community in which they live and have prospered in and amount to little more than rich white trash.

You and Iceman make me laugh. Because I write well and clearly state my opinions on matters of concern to me, I must be whacking off while I'm writing? I never once have said anything about how great I am or that I am any better than anyone else here. So the way I see it, I'm guilty of, at most, being opinionated. If my opinion differs from that of others, I don't see that as a problem. You are entitled to take my posts however you interpret them, but personally attacking and insulting me because my opinion differs from yours seems a bit childish to me. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it. There seem to be more than few who agree with what I think and there are few who write things I disagree with, that is the whole point of this place, to converse with others, both in agreement and disagreement.

The first ammendment is a great thing. Who cares if someone touts a "gay rights" sign, it is their choice to do so. It is also you're choice to read it or look away. I am not gay nor will I ever be, but they should have every chance to be happy that we do. Why should someone's happiness be subject to your scrutiny? A man hand in hand with a man is not something you may wish your son to see, but it is something every man should have the choice to do, should he wish to do so. Until it infringes on the civil liberties of another individual, or breaks a law, a man should have the right to do most anything he wants. That is one of the foundations of our great country.

BJ 260 you're missing the point dog for brains. That stuff doesnt belong at a parade. PERIOD. It doesn't make it good bad right or wrong to be gay, as you have mentioned probably because you are, but there is no relevance to pointing it out at a parade. IT just doesn't belong there. At a St. Patty's Day parade, you're not supposed to be celebrating that you are gay. Says you. It most times is the guys who are, secretly, a little in question of themselves who have that type of response to homosexuality. Let me ask you this, what if it were lesbians holding hands and kissing? What if it were very attractive lesbians? Are you going to still have a problem? If you answered yes to all of these questions I salute you for not being a hypocrit, but these people have every right to express themselves. And before you continue to assault me with your opinion of my manhood or sexual orientation, I want you to know I personally can not understand why these people feel it neccessary to openly promote their sexual preferences knowing the wrath it will incur from the non-understanding general public. I don't drive my car around with a bumper sticker that says, "I'm straight and I'm proud" proclaiming my heterosexual status. It doesn't make sense to me. "Celabrate Diversity" and rainbow spectrum bumper stickers are big in Ithaca NY, a town close to where I live and these are both to poudly display one's orientation. I guess it must have something to do with being a minority, but there are far too many double standards in this world, a "black pride" bumper sticker is ok but a "white pride" bumper sticker would be racist. It seems to me that some minority groups actually tend to isolate themselves from the general public with the very actions they take claiming they want to be included. So you see, even though I do not understand their motives, nor would I use the same tactics to promote my sexual preference, I still believe they have every right to do so. So here we will agree to disagree.
edit: It should be up to the organizer of the event to allow or disallow any entrants or participants of the particular parade to preserve the intended celebration.

You're missing the point bro. There are certain things in life that should be objective. There is no relevance to that stuff at a St. Patty's Day parade. It would be like going to a MLK Jr. Day parade and dressing up in your sled gear saying "I LOVE MOTOCROSS!" Its no more ridiculous than that. You'd be out of place, and out of line. I see your point and understand it. If you read the edit portion of my response it would point out that the promoter of the event is the one who should be determining the relevance of any particular demonstrator to said event. But since it was allowed, they have every right to their promotion of lifestyle. Homosexuality is not ever going to go away and sooner or later your son will be exposed to it. I see where you are going with the idea it has no place in a St. Patrick's day celebration, I don't see the relevance myself, but at that point there is not much that can be done as they are entirley within their rights to do so.

I didn't read this entire thread, to much whining for me.. but I will tell you that there are some people that don't like them.
I was at a car show in PA last year and this guy came in with a Corvette OCC bike. He was trying to sell raffle tickets for charity or something. He was pissed because they weren't selling and that OCC charged him 80,000 ish for the bike. He asked them if they would debut the bike at corvettes at carslile (the show I was at) and sign autographs. They told him sure, for 50,000 EACH!!! And if he wanted his bike built on TV, it was another 200,000 extra or some crazy crap. He said them guys are a bunch of assholes with a horrible attitude. He said money has got to their heads. They wouldn't even shake his hand when he left.
And not to mention, If I were bill gates, I wouldn't have paid 80,000 for that bike, it was not an 80,000 bike. I felt bad for the guy.
