Got over 200 miles on my CF 8. Track (studded) was very loose. Up on the stand, track would sag over 1.5 inches, with no weight.
I tightened up to 1.5" with 15 pounds of pull weight, but it really seems to drag on deceleration. Also, had a hell of a time aligning it .
Any tricks????? Should these tracks run looser than other sleds????? frantics.gif
steep and deep
Did you loosen bolts on rear idler before adjusting? As far as tention you want as loose as it will go without ratcheting on hard acceleration.

Yes, the manual calls for 1.75 to 2" of slack with 20 pounds downward pressure.

Actually the manual for the 2007's indicate the following with 20lbs weight on the track:

Set up tension - 1 3/4 to 2 inches
After break in tension - 2 to 2 1/4 inches

Oh yeah, we can't forget that extra 1/4 inch after break-in, LOL.

My track actually never stretched very much in 2000 miles. I usually stud my sleds, so I'm used to a lot of stretch, but I haven't studded this one. There have definitely been times that I wished I had them, but not enough to make me stud it (yet).
