Heading up to see my relatives in NW Wisconsin on the 9th and would like to get some riding in - preferably around Iron River/Valhalla - or even as far as Hurley. Looking for a casual ride just to get some more miles in. I can trailer anywhere I need to - I haven't been up since Christmas - so I don't know how conditions are. I will be based in Poplar for the weekend.

If anyone is interested in getting together for a ride let me know.

You better call me or send me a PM this week, Steph and I are already planing something for this sat. We were thinking the same thing, heading out from Iron River. We dont know the trails that good out that way but were up for anything.

I can tell you that they ran the groomer on the corridor on thursday nite, side trails are ok, still find the rocks and sticks tho... I rode all the trails between poplar, lake nebagamon, brule, and iron river wednesday, not too bad. Who knows what happend to the trails over the weekend tho. Brule Sports had 50+ sleds in Sat. morning before 10:30. Most of them were going to Valhalla from the sounds of it tho.

Thanks for the info Crash - it is just a bonus if I can ride out from Poplar - I wasn't counting on it.

If I can talk my no good brother-in-law into coming up and staying at at our cabin in Brule, I'd be willing to hook up and ride! If we do come up, it would probably be just the two of us. I'll check with him and my scheduling department(wife) and see if we can make it work! I'll check back on this post @ Wednesday for sure with a answer!

I'll scope things out when I get up there Friday during the day - to see how far we'll have to trailer.

Figures I put the sled on the trailer and now we get snow down here today.

There will be 4 of us in Iron River saturday morn. We could hook up with you all. We plan to rid a 150 or so mile day. easy as the wives are with. We will unload by the hotel in town about 9:00am? RTX,VEctor, blue edge, blck edge. let us know.

We will try and be in IR around nine - not sure if we'll unload there or not - it will depend on conditions. We will have two different vehicles - Red F-150 and a Gold Tahoe.

I will post again after I get up there and take a look this afternoon.

Well, be glad you didn't ride with us this time. What a clusterfuck that ended up being. 1 dead Ski-doo, a Polaris trailside carb rebuild, 1 rear end collision (ski into tunnel, both newbies) among any number of other minor distractions. I almost wonder if it was worth getting out of bed, but hey I got about 100 miles today.
