The Greenway in N.E. Ohio was a nice, long (although straite) trail. I understand that Rock Creek now passed a ordinince prohibiting snowmobiles from entering town. WTF ? Now you can ride a little chunk up north and again south of Rock Creek? What a joke. I feel like a second hand citizen. Town council or whoever passed this law should be ashamed of themselves. What a bunch of fucking Natzies. Guess I'll continue to take my recreation dollars out of this looser of a county.

I guess Rock Creek doesn't see the big picture! I'd hope that the local clubs up there are attending these meetings or we they blind sided by this? State dollars went into that project and it wasn't just given, it was earned by alot of people's hard work and too bad that this little wanna-be town has to be jerks about it! Maybe a by-pass trail can be set-up by the local clubs and divert the sled traffic around that little village, divert our $$ too!

part of the problem has to be the excessive amount of sleds that show up. It is one of the only public trails in ohio, so everyone comes from out of town to ride regardless of conditions.

The main problem is that the Rock Creek aluminum plant leases the land right where the trail runs and is fenced off. The trail then runs around the plant using the streets. This is the bike route. Well if there is no snow on the streets the private yards are used and I'm sure its loud when there is a group of sleds running 15 feet from the front doors. Rock Creek blocked the trail and it was fought against. Rock Creek does not own the trail. So it is opened back up. Rock Creek also can not Ban sleds. State law says that snowmobiles are legally allowed on the edge of the roads. There is another route useing secondary roads around Rock Creek. It just needs marked better for sledders know where to go. There is work in progress to work this out.

Another main problem was with the excessive noise and not enough caring for peoples lawns. And yes thier is a law but it only onlys for a certain amount of feet from the road, people were up on the lawns. I ride these trails alot and I volunteer for GRTR trail crews.
