Out for a rip today , got on the B111 coming out of Durham . Now you would think that this being a provincial trail (not a club trail ) it would have some of the frills ....... Say like signage on both sides of the trail , so when you need to turn to go S W to Clifford you can make the turn before going another 10 k N W out of your way.

I've ridden up to Durham for the last five years and for the last 2 I have noticed a lot of the signage has disappeared. Some of the trails have been rerouted and I guess new signs have not been put in place. Used to be a sign for the turn off to go over to Varney but there was nothing there last year at all. Kelli Joe's restraunt in Varney was a favorite lunch stop for our group but I heard its closed up.

Thanks but NO THANKS I did my time as a volunteer , the problem is the
" VOLUNTEER'S " just don't do the job and everything is left to a few to get the job done. But the UNvolunteer's like to have the praise laid upon them. I will just pay for my pass and ride, and if the area I ride in is not maintained then I will ride elsewhere. My dollars spent somewhere else .

Trails are nice around Walkerton and Chesley. We started out in Cliford , good amount of snow there too.

You don't have to volunteer, but you don't have to bitch and complain, either...

you have put in your time???? I didn't know there was a certain amount of time your suppose to put in? Ive always looked at it help out when you can or have the opportunity. Clubs don't pay people to do the work it's all volunteer and i believe everyone able member should help out in one or another at some point during every couple of seasons or sign up for the trail patrol program all that requires is putting on a vest and looking out for potential problems along the trail system and making sure others have permits......maybe your trails are poorly signaled because they have a lack of volunteers this year to help out. think about it differently next time

Wha, Wha, Wha, I paid my money now fix the goddamn trails. Shit I can't even read a map. You should thank those that went out and brushed the trail you were on, and those that groomed it, and those that sat in a dealership on their day of to sell permits to keep the whole thing going etc. etc. etc........ Get off your ass and help out or stop crying like a baby.

The guy made reference to poor signage. Regardless of volunteers, if you pay your trail pass fee, you are entitled to offer suggestions. I think we are making a mountain out of a mole hill here.
