Stock....7800 peak, HP starts to fall off after that.

Reason I asked was on my ride Friday night, It wouldn't turn over 7,200. It would run to 90 MPH, but get real flat and felt like a plug was about to fail. Low end and mid-range was fine, but bad on the top. I changed plugs and rode it on Sunday. (rode my triple on Saturday) Turned about 7,500 and was able to break 100 on the wishometer. I did not look at the belt which may be another issue. VES were cleaned less than 500 miles ago.
Thoughts?
