All Polaris sleds can be fitted with electric start, Polaris sells the complete kit.

Do you know how much the kit is?

I am told the kits are no longer available from Polaris. I have a 97 XLT and they haven't been available for a couple of years. You can sometimes find them on Ebay, or otherwise private sales. Maybe a wrecker has some, or a dealer somewhere may have a couple sitting on a shelf. Let me know if you find any.

On my other 97 XLT LTD the kit was - I think - about $400 CDN from the dealer.

I have one that I am pulling off of my '95 XLT SP, in good working condition, because I have the SLP 654 motor and the clutch doesn't fit with the big boy bearing kit.
Do you have the teeth ring on your clutch already? If not, you will want the clutch too. I have the whole setup minus the battery, which you can't ship. Anyone want to suggest what a fair price would be for this? Pureadrenaline, IM me if interested.
