Workin on my buddies 06 Dragon. SLP pipe and Airbox. Jetting is 410 mains, .7 aj 50 pilot FS re at 1.5 turns. Idles nice loads up alittle, no big deal. Get it up to engaugement and there is a bad lean bog. so I tried moving the needle,
better but to rich in the midrange. I tried bigger pilots and smaller aj. nothing seems to help. So I disconnected the Tempa-flow and bingo. This sucker runs awesome from idling to wide open. no bog or hesitation at all. Do you think that with the bigger reed cages and 38 carb that there is no enough vacume or vilocity at idle or at low rpms? Maybe im way off but there has to be a vacume loss with the Tempa-Flow correct?

There is a poster named Willie over on Am Snow. He claims his setup works great. This is his post from AmSnow:
"The best carb set-up I found now for the 600HO carburator is 60 pilot jet, 0.9 air jet and 400 main jet. You run it wide open as long as you want with that set-up. Second, this sled has 2 problems on the pilot circuit, it's to lean when you hit the throttle and it's to rich when you leave it idling. You will foul spark plugs if you let it idling and when you want to go, you need to use the choke. With the set-up I gave you, you will solve both problem. fuel screw 1.25 turn."

I haven't tried the above.

I'm going to be trying the larger PAJs, because mine will still leave a black mark on the snow, and the fuel screws are only 3/4 turn out. .6PAJs are a bit small, IMO. I think Willie is onto something there...larger pilots and larger PAJ. I think with my 660 and increased vacuum, the pilots are big enough, but the PAJs are too small.

I have a tempa with everhing completely stock very little hesitation at the start. one thing to keep in mind the tempa has to be moving for about a mile to regulate itself.

If I let idle for to long espescially the first time it will load up, but then it good I did turn my screw on temp back 1/8 to lean it all good

What are the stock figures for those jets?
I have the 400 mains only and seems to run good, but I would like to know more...

Stock jets are 420 main, 50 pilot, .6 air jet and 1.25 on fuel screw.

I don't think that would work with a tempaflow since your supposed to jet it pretty rich arent you?

Maybe though. I have not had a tempaflow on any of my sleds but he I might just try that anyone tried something close to that on a stock 600HO motor? I don't want to void warrenty but I think I can just set it back to stock if I ever do try it. Took my sled out today and never got a chance to open it up (took the neighborhood kids out but it seemed to be super oily and rich smoke coming out when I started it after picking up another kid. The sled was up to temp it wasn't moisture. Was actually starting to burn my eyes. Probably just a rich low end but never expierenced that before. When I was moving the smoke wasn't noticable by seeing or smelling but I was going about 25-30 so it wasn't very easy to tell.

dtrain my owners manuel supplement sheet the dealer gave me says 1.75 on the fuel screws everything else you said the same. where did you get your info? probably not that big of a deal just wondering if any other info polaris is putting out is different from the 1.75

"most" guys still lean down a few sizes from stock with a tempa flow, at least on a Polaris

The service manual and the correct set up sheet have the fuel screw at 1.25 turns. Mine has 410 mains, slp air box, flow rites, 50 pilots, .6 PAJ, needle clips down one notch and temp flow. No bog problems or loading up during idling. I let it idle until the temp goes up to 120 during warm up and it hasnt overloaded yet. The plugs are good and the piston wash is excellent.

I've been running a #60 pilot jets and .9 paj for a few days. It's still not the solution when running a tempa flow. Still loads up at idle and has a lean off idle bog. It's better but still not acceptable. Going to try #65 pilot jets and 1.2 paj

Hey Happy Sledders,
My engine service light (2006 Stock Switcher) came on the other day.....I am about 1400km's And I don't see what they want me to check specifically in the book! Maybe just the oil or fuel filters? Or VES system?? Anyone know what may be the problem! Thank - You!!!!
