I am going to be at Houghton Lake this weekend testing some new clutching. Field testing has been, WOW but i want to see how it's going to act in real world conditions. Anyone in the area that wants to meet up and check out or ride the Turbomania mobile let me know, it would be great to put some faces with names. I would also like to see how some of the FCD modded sleds are running.
I wouldn't worry to much about the ice, a friend of mine that lives up there knows the lake real well, it's been cold and it's been making good ice.

Good luck Joe, post your results! Wish I could be there, but 810 miles is a long way to drive for snow. Although if we don't get some snow soon, I might be up for it. Have put 0 miles on this year, but I am heading to my camp tonight and hopefully it will be rideable. Still have yet to snow test the FCD I got from you last year, since we got pretty well beat with a short season...

You guys are bumming me out, no 4 strokers near the lake???? I have been over on the Michigan section picking on the two smoke guys. I hope my new clutching works out or i will never hear the end of it. Major changes, Hopefully it runs as good on the lake as it did in our test field. Had to bring in an old time drag racer to help with the clutching. He has forgot more about clutching than i know. Thanks Sean for the hook up. Doesn't look like my SRX buddies will be there until Sunday. They dropped some big coin on one of them to beat me, not sure i can handle him. We were dead even last year. Rumor has it that it grew up a bunch this year, my guess is 1000 cc's

How'd it go? I'd like to have seen it but I've been busy getting things ready for race weekend, got a crew coming in from Wisconsin tomorrow.

It didn't go well. Way to much helix and gear for the snow conditions. I was bummed, i thought we had hit the setup for a boosted 660.
We were at a little over 100 mph in 700ft during field testing.
On the lake it took me half a mile to get up to 94 mph. At least we have a good setup for hard pack.
Best SRX was 104 mph, even my buddies Turbo RX-1 only hit 115 mph. The lake was slow.
Oh ya, the big CC SRX kicked a rod out the bottom as he was going by me. Houghton lake is posesed
My buddie with the flying sofa started a thread about it. I helped him tear up his secondary.
