I just recently purchased this machine, replaces fuel pump and filter. Took out first time and ran. It seems to do ok until about 30 mph then it starts to stall. Sometimes it will get to 45-45 then stall. If I pump the throttle it will eventually start excelerating again. Sometimes backfires. I had a small engine repair shop clean the Carb. I tried adjusting the needle pin to various positions to see if I could get it to stop no luck. Any suggestions?

i would try replacing all the fuel lines and clean the tank out i had a 89 and every once in a while it would back fire and get up to speed the problem would go away automaticly but i think i remember something about the tors throttle control unit i think you can unplug it

bypass tors if it has not already bin done.
unplug the wires from the carbs and jumper them on the harness side.
mabey chek the pump, possibly pumping enough gas to idle but not to go fast.
are the plugs wet or lean
