The way I have it figured is if I could just loose 50 lbs my sled will be able to crack the 45 MPH speed limit.

Myself and a group of 5 others went up to the Diamond ridge overlook acouple of yrs ago when we got there it was pretty crowded and I pulled off to the side behind a family of 3, Farther, Mother & young daughter riding 2 Yamaha RX 1's. They were sitting on their sleds getting ready to leave, the wife backs into me pinning my left ankle between my tunnel and her rear grab bar. Well her husband looks at her and blow's a gasket throw's his arms up in the air and walks back to remedy the situation, problem is he never took it out of reverse and is standing in between her sled and mine. He grab's a hand full of thottle and falls right on his ass stuck in between the 2 sleds, when he fell he grabbed the bar tighter and turned to the left and the back of the ski went in my track so he's draging me with them into the sleds behind us. His wife and daughter are still sitting on their sled and we're dragging 2 more sleds with riders on with us that got collected in the malay towards the the Flag in my avi. I reached over and hit her kill switch and loked at all these wide eyed people and broke into an uncontrolable fit of laughter, the guy looses it again yells at her never even makes eye contact with me slaps the sled out of reverse and they rode away. Never saw them again but I bet the first thing he did when he got home was to put a back-up alarm on. BTW I have'nt parked behind a Yammie again.

That is one of the most incredible "beeperless" stories of carnage I have ever heard! I can visualize it all happening as you told it, and I'm amazed no one was seriously hurt! I think we have all been in situations that were made worse by someone getting "rattled" to the point where they can't think straight!

I wonder if I can add a beeper to my wife's Polaris. My Polaris has mechanical reverse so the lever would remind you. They could add the reverse override buttton like atv's have but it is another thing to wear out or break. plowking

It amazes me that Polaris doesn't build a beeper into the PERC, because it has been the cause of many people "eating the top of their windshield" after forgetting its in reverse!

When I put the reverse kit in my Vmax I left out the beeper because it seemed very un-cool. Well I left it in reverse a couple of times and surprised the hell out of myself in the process. I didn't hit anything, or hurt anyone, but my eyes were opened. I realized that I could easily have slammed back into someone, and that would be way more un-cool than listening to the "beep beep". I now have the beeper installed.

I was run over by OVR a few years back, He took off in reverse and I was lucky( dumb) enough to be walking right behind his sled.
Best part is after he hit me, he took off!
Probably didn't even realize it.

My dad drove his sled, backwards, thru his basement sliding door once.
My brother took pop's sled for a ride, backed it up to sliding door(where he found it parked), shut it down BUT left it in reverse!
Pop comes out the next day, gives his sled some throttle and CRASH! into the glass sliding door! His cat's reverse beeper doesn't always beep.
When we heard the crash and figured out what had happened, we all ran for the hills, Pops isnt too nice when he is mad.

Anyone ever try to drive off and forget to release the emergency brake?

Our rule of thumb is to always ride with a camera, never know what you are going to see. When it happens the first questions is "Are you alright? the second: "Hold on while I get my camera"

I rode up there with some friends middle of last week and into Saturday. We took it easy on Saturday 'cause of the usaul traffic pattern. Three of us were pulling over to take a break at a junction. One of the guys pulled over to the side and shut his sled off. After about 3 seconds of being stopped his sled tipped over to the right tossing him off the trail and into about 5 feet of snow. It turns out he stopped on a cornice of snow. There was a small stream running under the trail and when his sled stopped on the dome it collapsed. I've never seen anything like it and his father in law and I almost pissed our bibs laughing.

I promise to post the picture when I get it. The guy who tipped over had the camera so it is going to take some work to get it out of him.
