hows the lakes up in Pitts?
Dark Star
I was up from Tuesday of last week to Sunday.

Back Lake appears solid, there were about 20 sleds racing when I was there, but I heard from some of the locals that a sled went into the water a few days before I got there. Not sure which end of the lake or what cove so don't take anything for granted.

1st 2nd and Francis lakes are not safe yet. There were portions of 1st that I saw tracks on. There were no tracks on Francis whatsoever.

Again some of the locals don't think Francis will be safe for another 2 weeks. Francis is funny because it is always draining and has a lot of water entering from many different areas. I hope it doesn't take two weeks, but the people who live up there know it better than I do.

Next time I'm up I hope to see some tracks on Francis so I don't have to trailer the machine.

First is getting close, maybe all set by this weekend, I rode from picnic area to my house past the Glen on Sunday morning but stayed very close to the shore. I ran into a couple of buddies who said they took it all the way to wardens cabin but I only saw 3 other sleds go by my house all weekend. I hope it is safe soon, I cant take another weekend of having to on the west side of route 3 to get up to the North - East anymore.
